It is with great pride that we unveil today the program for the PRO component of M for Montreal 2023, which runs from November 15 to 18. As this year marks the 18th anniversary of M for Montreal, our team has put together an unparalleled program themed on the passage to maturity. Musical discoveries, networking cocktails, conferences, workshops and discussion groups: our 18th edition promises to be unforgettable.
We’ve selected professionals and speakers specialized in their respective fields to offer talks on hot topics, such as revenue streams for artists, new approaches to streaming platforms, the role of artificial intelligence in the creative process and the power of synchronization.
Don’t miss the interview with Nora Felder, Music Supervisor at Picture Music Company, whose long track record includes placements for the hit series Stranger Things, Better Things and Californication. She will talk about the surprising paths a song’s placement can take, as in the case of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill, which reached the Billboard top 10 some thirty-seven years after its release.

For several years now, M for Montreal has welcomed delegations of prestigious music supervisors. The 2023 edition marks the renewal of SuperVISION: Music Supervisors International Rendez-Vous, presented by Music Publishers Canada (MPC) and the Association des professionnels de l’édition musicale (APEM), and created by the Guild of Music Supervisors (Canada and USA), M for Montreal and Mundial Montréal. The 2023 edition of SuperVISION includes networking activities dedicated to music supervisors, as well as the much-anticipated activity The B2B Sessions, which consists of privileged one-on-one meetings with the participating supervisors. This event is aimed at managers, record label representatives and publishers.
Tickets for The B2B Sessions go on sale at noon on October 12. Last year, tickets sold out in a matter of hours, so don’t miss our newsletter reminder!
