HERE’S THE SUPERVISION COMPONENT 2024 !

M for Montreal and Mundial Montreal are proud to join forces for the third year with the Guild of Music Supervisors of Canada and the United States to organize SuperVISION: International Encounters in Music Supervision, presented by Music Publishers Canada (MPC) and the Association des Professionnels de l’Édition Musicale (APEM).

From November 20 to 23, SuperVISION will offer a unique opportunity for professionals from the music, audiovisual, film, television, advertising and video game industries to meet, network and engage in dynamic discussions.

This event, specially designed for music supervisors, will bring together over 20 professionals from Canada, the U.S., Mexico, the U.K., France, Germany and Colombia, offering opportunities for private and group meetings.

1.  PANEL : Sync Agent’s Secret Weapon – Nov. 20th 1pm to 2pm

What is the role of a synchronization agent, and how can he/she help rights holders and independent artists secure global synchronization opportunities? 

A key element of successful synchronization is effective representation. Synchronization agents connect the music industry to mobile media by advocating on behalf of labels, publishers, artists and songwriters, while cultivating relationships with local decision-makers.

With this in mind, the panel will discuss the role and value of sync agents, present success stories and propose a roadmap for establishing a global network of agents.

2. MUSIC SUPERVISORS GLOBAL SUMMIT- Nov. 20th 2:30 pm to 4pm

The Music Supervisors Global Summit, led by the Canadian and USA chapters of the Guild Of Music Supervisors, aims to answer compelling questions from existing and future members of international music supervision guilds. Current challenges and issues within the industry will be addressed, such as clearance pricing and the implications of artificial intelligence.

3. THE B2B SESSIONS: THE LONG-AWAITED HIGHLIGHT- Nov. 21st 9:30 am to noon

Presented by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service, the B2B sessions are back, with over 20 international supervisors ready to meet with managers, record company representatives and publishers.

It will be possible to book a minimum of 4 individual meetings, each lasting 8 minutes.

5. PRIVATE COCKTAIL WITH MEMBERS OF MPC AND L’APEM – Nov. 22nd Noon to 2pm

Presented by Music Publishers Canada, this exclusive cocktail will enable invited music supervisors to meet with the Association of Professional Music Publishers (APEM), as well as the team from Music Publishers Canada.


6. NAYA ALI PERFORMANCE PRESENTED BY RAY-ON – Nov. 22 12h55 pm to 1:20 pm 

While enjoying the Music Music Publisher Canada cocktail, rapper and singer Naya Ali will perform her English hip-hop music, presented by Ray-On.

Of Ethiopian origins and based in Montreal, Naya Ali has been an active artist since 2017, now racking up two albums, numerous microsalbums, and winning the prestigious Félix for English-language Album of the Year at the 44th Gala de l’ADISQ in 2022.

With nothing to envy of the great names of American rap, she is a passionate artist who deserves the honor of all the awards she has already won.
