M FOR MONTREAL HEADS TO THE UNITED KINGDOM

Once again this year, M for Montreal, as part of its “On the Road” missions, is flying to the United Kingdom to take part in major events, present showcases, host networking activities, and offer several Quebec and Canadian artists the opportunity to take the stage at renowned UK venues.
 
FIRST STOP: NEW FROM SCOTLAND 2025

For the third year in a row, our team is excited to head to Edinburgh, Scotland, to take part in the Wide Days festival, returning this year with a brand-new format: New From Scotland 2025. On May 1 and 2, a series of exclusive showcases will spotlight a selection of emerging artists across some of the city's most iconic independent venues, including La Belle Angele and Sneaky Pete’s, to name just a few. These showcases are open to both industry professionals and the public.

Every year, Wide Days attracts key players from the music industry across the UK, Europe, and North America. M for Montreal will be there to present an exceptional showcase featuring standout talent from Montreal.

M for Montreal works year-round to propel Québec and Canadian artists as well as professionals onto the international stage. With a targeted and agile approach, we adapt to market needs and the artists we support by creating concrete export opportunities. Crafted to seal the deal, we put everything in place to help music from here cross borders and reach new audiences.

Through our On the Road missions, we showcase talents at major events across North America and Europe, maximizing visibility and growth opportunities. New From Scotland is one of the key stops in this mission—a strategic hub where artists can build valuable connections and take their careers to the next level.

On Friday, May 2nd starting at 6 PM, join us for a special reception cocktail at Cabaret Voltaire, presented by M for Montreal in partnership with the Québec Government Office in London. Delicious vegetarian delights will be served — come and treat your taste buds!

Following the reception at 7PM, M for Montreal and Focus Wales will present a series of showcases highlighting exceptional talent. Among them, don’t miss the vibrant electro-pop of Super Plage, a Canadian artist hailing from Montreal, who will light up the stage at Sneaky Pete’s!
