The MARATHON festival, presented by SiriusXM and organized by M for Montreal, is back for its fourth edition. From November 20 to 23, music fans are invited to discover the Montreal and international music scene !
More than 90 artists will perform at such iconic venues as Foufounes Électriques, Club Soda, Théâtre Fairmount and MTELUS.
In addition to being rich in musical discoveries, nearly 70% of the artists and bands on the program will feature at least one woman on stage, with many of them in leading roles.
Last July, we unveiled the first artists of this edition: P’tit Belliveau, KROY, Claudia Bouvette, Karkwa, Peter Peter, Bibi Club, Shay Lia and others.
Today, we’re delighted to present the full list of artists who will enrich this event. While well-known figures from the local and international scene will draw the crowds, it will also be an opportunity to discover emerging talent from Montreal.
Among them, the indie-pop of Chiara Savasta, the poetry of Cosmophone, the psychedelic rock of Cure-Pipe, the queer-pop eccentricity of Fleece, the alternative indie of Goodbye Karelle, the sparkling pop of Junes, the experimental hip-hop hybridization of Kaya Hoax, the alternative pop of Laraw, the folk-rock of Soleil Launière, and the new wave hip-hop of Malko.
Don’t miss these promising artists!
The festival will also spotlight international artists, some of whom will be performing in Quebec for the first time. They include Badi and Milk TV from Belgium, Marta Knight from Spain, Rudy Love & The Encore, TVOD and Jesus Christ Taxi Driver from the USA, Cléa Vincent and Jethro from France, Dromedarios Magicos from Mexico, Ogun and MACY from Wales, and Manon Meurt from the Czech Republic.
Several artists will also be taking advantage of this opportunity to perform their new albums, such as Plants and Animals singer Warren Spicer’s solo project; Unessential Oils and Jane Penny, lead singer of the group TOPS, who will be performing at Foufounes Électriques on November 20. The following day, November 21 at Club Soda, Lubalin marks one of its first public performances in a long time.
This will be followed by Claudia Bouvette’s official album launch at Club Soda on November 22, where Naomi will also present her latest releases!
Finally, Wyatt C. Louis’s latest album will be a must-see performance on November 23 at l’Escogriffe.
The $150 Festival Pass gives you access to 34 shows* at the MARATHON, which runs from November 20 to 23, from afternoon until late at night.
Individual tickets are also on sale now.
*Note that Karkwa and P’tit Belliveau shows are not included in the festival pass.
